Rest in peace, my friend. My sincere condolences to Garland's family and friends. I have known Garland since we were 9 years old, having grown up across the alley from him and his family. While I have not been in direct contact with him (moved away 35 years ago), this unfortunate news brought a flood of fond memories of time we spent together as children and teenagers. May God wrap his family in peace with his comforting love.
