It saddens me deeply to be writing this as I only found out about Gary today so for me it is a sad day...I remember when he was pledging the mighty OO Chapter as I was one of the Alpha Sweets that assisted them during their pledge time. Gary will be greatly missed among all of his friends.

When I heard the news of Gary's passing I was floored. Even though it had been twenty years since I had spoken with him, I still had fond memories of this special person. WUDC-AM was a fun place in the 80's and Gary made me feel a part of it. We all enjoyed our time there and I still remember his call "Party People" fondly. He was a wonderful presence on this earth. May God comfort you in your loss and keep you in his abiding love.

Brother Thompson,

Although you will be truly missed on the plains of this earth, your spirit has risen to watch over us for all eternity in Heaven. I am comforted knowing that during your brief stay, our spirits crossed and we were able to connect in brotherhood. May you continue to sound the trumpet for Glory and pave the way, as you have done before, for those whom are to follow. May the LORD provide peace and comfort to the grieving family and friends. Rest in peace my Brother.

Dearest Joyce: It is never easy to accept the loss of a loved one and particularly difficult when it is your child; but find comfort in the thought that he is only gone before. Look forward to the day when you will meet with him again. May God comfort you and give you the strength to live through this challenge to your faith in him.
