George Calomiris Obituary
A viewing will be held at 9 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, at Saint Sophia, Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Washington, DC. Interment will take place at Saint Paul's Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington, DC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral Narthex Campaign.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I believe I used to work for this man and his cousin at the Zalco building in Silver Spring, MD back 1994. Him and his cousin were really good dudes. They helped me a lot

I, too, went to Maret along with George and Janice. George played on the basketball team with me. We were not close friends, but I knew him as always upbeat and always positive. He lifted me up with his grace and humor, and example. I am glad to have known him, and I know he will be sorely missed. Much love to the extended Calomiris family.

To the Calomiris Family ,
I went to school with George and his sister Janice at Maret .
Our families new each other for generations in Washington DC and as members of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church .
George was always great athlete and a excellent student , just as his remarkable sister Janice . George was also a " true gentleman ". He was raised well by remarkable parents and a Godly heritage .
I´m certain his life was exemplary as well .
I too have lost brother and sister too young . The pain is uniquely deep and must be trusted to our Heavenly Father .
May the peace of The Holy Spirit encompass you , (George´s loved ones ), with a shield of peace and favor in Jesus´ name .
