GEORGE EDWARD SCHOOLMEESTER  
Passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Born in Washington, DC, he was a son of the late George Henry and Wilhelmina "Billie" Schoolmeester. Dr. Schoolmeester was the husband of the late Helen McKee Schoolmeester. Following his retirement from dentistry, he and his wife moved to Columbia, SC. Dr. Schoolmeester was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in WWII.Surviving are his children, Kenneth School-meester (Holly) of Charlotte, NC, Lawrence Schoolmeester (Colette) of Camden, SC, Stephen Schoolmeester of Columbia, Jacquelyn George (Al), Richard Schoolmeester (Marla) and Robert Schoolmeester (Myra); 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, John Schoolmeester and sister, Mary Lou Waddell.Services private.
