I also attended highschool with George. He was a very positive, friendly person. I've known him to be very committed to his family and friends, someone we can all admire. Over the years, I have heard many people speak favorably about his character. May God bless the Wheeler family during this difficult period; we are continuing to pray for you.

Somewhere a journey begins at the end of the worldly existence we know,Somewhere a path stretches over the stars, and rivers flow...Somewhere a silence is heard far away and the brightness of the day fills the night,Where the trials of life is resolved into peace when a soul finds its way to the light. May it comfort you to know that your loved one is now at peace.

So sorry to hear of George's passing, although I know I will see him again one day. He seemed to be such a gentle giant always having a smile on his face. I went to high school with him and remember him playing on the football team. I sent him a friend request on Face Book back in February. He quickly responded. Then my dad passed in March. George was so quick to send me a kind message to uplift me. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and his friends at this time. Such a wonderful person whose life here on earth was cut way too short. May you rest now in the loving arms of Jesus.

George will be truly missed I will miss sending him the word for today, I will miss his encouragement and his responses to the word. I will miss his smile and his humbleness. I will never forget the words he told me years ago when we work together he said that I was going to be somebody special in his soft voice. Just recently he texted me and told me he was so proud of me and He wish me and my husband a Happy Anniversary. George I will never forget you. To the Wheeler family May God bless you and strengthen you. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you. RIP George Wheeler

The sun will never shine as bright again, because we will no longer see George Wheeler's smile. Throughout his life, George remained the same kind, humble and respectful (and respected) gentleman that I met in high school. He never said a harsh word to or about anyone and you'd never hear one of him. We continued to cross paths---attended colleges within a couple of miles of each other, lived in the same neighborhood at one point, worked in the same building for a while, spoke on the phone and ran into each other socially on occasion---always the same familiar smile and warm hello. I've spoken to several of our classmates and we're all on the same page: George was quite simply a decent, stand up guy. I pray that his eternal rest in paradise is peaceful.

George your smile always cheered me up and your wit could be hilarious some times. I know Jesus is taking care of you my friend and brother. When I think of you I will see that grin from ear to ear and I'll know you are there in my presence. I loved you like a brother I'll see you when God calls me home

I would like to extend my deepest and sincere condolences to the Wheeler family. Gorge and I went to high school and college together, and George was one of the most wonderful human beings that I have ever met. He was a friend to everyone and his spirit was always Blessed with God's love. George radiated compassion, caring, and humbleness, while always interacting with others. I don't believe George ever met a stranger. As, I think about George's passing, my heart aches, because George was that one in a million friend, that always loved you, with, faults and all, no matter what. You will be missed, my friend.
