GALLER GERALD GALLER "Jerry" (Age 74) Passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2008 after a courageous fight with cancer. The Washington, DC native was the beloved husband and best friend of his wife, Sharon. He is survived by children, Craig Galler, Andrea Guthridge and Logan Galler; brothers, William, Richard, Bruce Kornemann and David Galler; daughter-in-law, Sheila Galler; son-in-law, Michael Guthridge; brothers-in-law, Bruce and Jeffrey Rosenblatt and Ron Solomon; sisters-in-law, Janis Ehlers, Sharon I. Galler, Veronica and Vicky Kornemann, Gina and Sheila Rosenblatt; grandchildren, Jessica and Adrian Galler, Hayden and Bailey Guthridge; in-laws, Ted and Shirley Jacobs; nieces and nephews; Alexa, Doug, Ethan, Jamie, Kevin, Kris, Kurt and Mya. He also leaves, pets Junior, KD, Iris, Norman and Wendell. Jerry lived life to its fullest and more importantly taught others to do the same. He enjoyed trying something new whether it was competing in the Ernest Hemingway look-a-like Festival to riding a mechanical bull in New Orleans. He had a generousity of spirit and was young at heart, full of energy and was an avid traveler enjoying European cities, the Caribbean, Middle East to family road trips and the annual tradition of attending the Chicago Blues Fest. With family and friends he enjoyed a dry martini, fine wine, dining and a good cigar. A Delta blues aficionado, when he was 70, Jerry began studying blues guitar taking weekly lessons. A successful entrepreneur, he was especially proud assisting his wife, Sharon in building STAT Association Management and Marketing. He enjoyed the camaraderie with the staff and drew enormous energy from the friendships they developed with members of the associations they represent. In 2007, they received “The President‘s award” for their contributions to American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management.
