GERALD TIMOTHY WATSON "Bunky"

Gerald Timothy Watson "Bunky", 90, of Washington DC, passed away on April 11, 2023, in Saginaw, TX. Born in Washington, D.C. to Marshall Watson and Mary Smith on October 31, 1932, he was the youngest of nine children and spent most of his life living in the nation's capital. He was married to Anita for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing, boxing, and spending hours with his family talking about anything. He loved people watching and discovered a love for cruising later in life. Bunky is survived by his daughters Tracy Watson and Karen Hill, grandsons Edwin Hill and Anthony Hill, great granddaughters Solie and Nevaeh and a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Mary Watson, siblings Ila, Hugh, Scotia, Edgar, Ulysses, Paul, Phyllis, and Celestine, daughter Denise Ellerbe, and various other extended family members. A homegoing celebration is being held on Saturday April 15 at 1 p.m. at Riggs Park Baptist Church, 5998 Chillum Place NE, Washington, DC.

I remember sitting up playing cards with him for hours, or playing Dominos with him. All the games took a long time because he studied every move for a long time. I lost a lot but it was fun.
