Gloria Johnson Obituary

July 14, 1944 to September 1, 2025
Gloria was born on July 14, 1944, in Texarkana, Arkansas. She earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Prairie View A&M University and earned an M.S. in Speech/Linguistics from Indiana University. Gloria married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Theodore R. Johnson and shared their 60th wedding anniversary on August 22, 2025. Gloria spent over 25 years as an elementary school Speech Clinician in Fairfax County Public Schools and retired in 1999. They spent the last several years splitting their time between their homes in Alexandria, Virginia and in Prairie View, Texas.

Gloria is survived by her soul mate and husband, Theodore R. Johnson, their devoted son, Theodore R. Johnson, Jr., and her brother Samuel E. Anderson, Sr. (Deborah).

The Memorial Service will be held on September 24, 2025 at Greene Funeral Home, 814 Franklin Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. The viewing is at 11 a.m. followed by the funeral at 12 p.m. (noon). The burial is at 2 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172.
