Gordon Thomasch Obituary


GORDON JOHN THOMASCH  
Gordon John Thomasch, a 12-year resident of Edgewater and previously of Rockville for 38 years, died at his home on February 24, 2014. He was 98. Gordon worked in the consumer finance and banking industries for 50 years, retiring as Senior Vice President of Government Relations for Bank of America. Gordon is survived by his wife of 72 years, Margaret, who was the love of his life. He is also survived by three sons and their wives and companions: Roger Thomasch and Janie Harrington, Daniel and Jeannine Thomasch, and James and Christine Thomasch; two daughters, Eileen Stisitis of Annapolis and Mary Thomasch of Point of Rocks; 11 grandchildren: Paul, Brian, Scott, Stephen, Emma, Jennifer, Michelle and Meghan Thomasch, Laura Uzzle, Tamara Barber and Kimberly Metzger; and six great-grandchildren. He was adored by all and will be remembered always. Friends are invited to Gordon's Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Monday, March 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD on Tuesday, March 4 at 12 p.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Annapolis, MD. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities USA, P.O.
