Gretchen Porter Obituary

PORTER, GRETCHEN OAKS

Gretchen Oaks Porter, 67, passed away on July 17, 2005. She was born in Hutchinson, KS and was a graduate of Sterling High School in Sterling, CO, class of 1955, and the University of Colorado School of Nursing, class of 1960. She married her childhood sweetheart, Bob Porter, in 1958 and is survived by her four children, Brian Porter of Brookfield, CT, Laura Porter of Livingston, NJ, Holly Vitullo of Dallas, TX, Alison Dosher of Denver, CO and nine grandchildren. Gretchen will be remembered for her love of familiy, her travels to exotic lands and her involvement in charitable causes, such as Girl Scouts and Denver Digs Trees. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at HORAN & McCONATY, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 22 at 11 a.m. at the Colorado Community Church, 3651 S. Colorado Blvd., Englewood, CO. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to The Park People, 715 S. Franlin St., Denver, CO 80209.

I want to express sympathy to the family of Gretchen. I am speechless upon receiving the email message about your mother. I'm so sorry but know that, at last, Gretchen is with her beloved Bob. It's where she wanted to be.
