GUDRUN M. KAZANDJIAN "Gudi"
Peacefully passed away on March 20, 2013 while under hospice care at the home of dear friend with her son and close friends at her side. For one year she struggled to overcome cancer. For many years Gudi was a dedicated employee of Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon in Chevy Chase and loved her work. She touched each of her clients in a special way. Gudi loved travel, culture and the arts, especially the Kennedy Center. She loved being with her two grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Anton; sisters, Ingrid, Sieglinde and Isolde; and grandchildren, Marie Claire, Louis and their mother, Sabine. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Haig and will join him at the family resting place in Giessen, Germany. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Colesville Rd., Silver Spring, MD 20910. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Montgomery Hospice 1355 Piccard Dr., Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850. Online condolences can be made at: www.rappfuneral.com

Dear Anton and family,
I was a client of Gudi's for many years. I always looked forward to my appointments for the wide ranging discussions about music, ballet, travels, history and so on. Above all, Gudi always spoke with such pride and warmth about you and your family and shared wonderful pictures of her grandchildren growing up. She was a charming, interesting woman with a good sense of humor, and amazing commitment to her work. I will miss seeing her. My sincere condolences to all of you.

My sincerest condolences to Gudi's son, sisters and grandchildren. I was her client at Elizabeth Arden's for over 15 years. She spoke often and lovingly of all of you. She cherished the visits of her grandchildren to the states and visiting them in Europe. She had great passion and character. I so admired how she cared for her husband. I will miss her very much.

Dear Anton, Sabine, Marie Clare, and Louis
I am one of Gude's clients and I loved her very much. I want you all to know how often she spoke with such warmth and pride about you--telling me tales of your adventures with time shares and vacations. How she adored watching her 2 grandchildren grow up and when they visited Rockville or when she went to Germany for Marie Clare's confirmation. And how you all loved the water and the ocean. Gude was a wonderful human being--so full of life and grace, humour and intelligence and she will leave such good memories. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of loss.
