On Tuesday, October 21, 2003, HANNA (KATZ) MOSQUERA, of Rockville, Md., formerly of Arlington, VA, and born in Freibourg, Germany, loving mother of Chris Mosquera, mother-in-law of Mary, grandmother of Joanna, Rebecca, and Miranda, and great-grandmother of Naomi and Manzanita. Hanna was able to leave Nazi Germany for England through the Kindertransport in 1938 and eventually settled in New York. Living close to her family, she was a daily part of the lives of her granddaughters and, especially, her great-granddaughter Naomi. Hanna was an educator and will be remembered for her love of nature, books and her determination to live life as full as she could despite debilitating health problems. She was a member of the Washington Humanist Society. Services will be held at a later date.
