My heart is full With Love and Light knowing God has received Hardy in his loving embrace. Although Hardy is no longer on this earth physically, his essence in spirit is eternal and lives on in each of us.
Hardy your electrifying smile soothes the loss. You are a true inspiration as a servant of our Creator.
God bless you and your adoring family.
Gratefully and in reverence,

I worked with Hardy for the last 17 years thru AODAAC and the MHAC. Hardy was extremely supportive and was so helpful getting events off of the ground. Hardy always made me feel special as he was always happy to see me and always gave me a big hug. I could always call on him for any work-related need including career advice. I appreciate my time with him and will miss him dearly. He was a very special person.

Letter from Congressman Jamie Raskin

You will receive this on my Congressional stationery on Monday or Tuesday from Lauren Doney:

To: Mrs. Iris Bennett and Family

I am terribly sorry to learn of the sudden passing of Hardy Bennett. He helped many people in Montgomery County who were addicted to drugs to achieve recovery and lead productive lives.

I will never forget his beautiful, booming baritone voice that belted out Hold On a Little While Longer on my front lawn after the untimely shocking death of my precious and only son Tommy.

Hardy and the rest of Rocky´s Pandemic Comforters lifted my family´s spirits during that very dark time.

He will be sorely missed in our community. My prayer is that God will give you and your family strength and comfort during this agonizing period. I know Hardy would want you to "hold on A Little While Longer" because a Glorious Reunion with our loved ones is coming soon.

With Much Love and Sympathy,

Jamie Raskin
Member of Congress (MD-8)

Hardy Bennett, A TRULY GOD FEARING MAN, was one of my dearest friends. He supported my many community projects with his booming baritone voice and his presence. He sang Hold On A Little While longer at the Musical Tribute I organized for the late civil rights icon John Lewis and brought the house down. He was a member of our Pandemic Comforters group where he gave musical comfort to powerful US Maryland Congressman Jamie Raskin when his only precious son died suddenly. He was in the audience cheering me on when I received the prestigious Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award for Montgomery County. He and Iris were there at many other momentous occasions in my The life. I will cherish their friendship for life.

Iris and Hardy, don´t forget that we are to reunite at the north gate of the Heavenly City. It will not be long before we meet. We are at the end of time. Jesus is coming soon.
While we are waiting to reunite, I strongly encourage all of Hardy´s friends to read Ministry of Healing by Ellen White free of charge for comfort and hope in these turbulent times. WE ARE ALMOST HOME!

LONG LIVE THE BEAUTIFUL LEGACY OF HARDY BENNETT!
