I am shocked and sad that Harvey had to pass so soon. We had a friendly rivalry in the triathlons, but we had serious discussions too. Harvey was living life but accepting his mortality too.
Joni, You and your family have my sincerest condolences.

Harvey was one of the best managers I worked for during my career in the Information Technology Industry. I was 1st introduced to him when he worked for my father at ITT Courier in the late 1970's. My father indicated that Harvey was one of the brightest and hardworking individuals that ever reported to him.
I went on to work for Harvey at Dataplace & Businessland. He was a tough manager, but always fair and I learned more from him than any other manager.
Harvey was always 10 years ahead of anyone else in Information Technology Industry. He started Dataplace Computer Stores in Phoenix Arizona before most people had seen a PC. He went on to open Pinpoint, an Information and News distribution system before the Internet was developed.
He knew where the Information Technology industry was headed before most people owned a computer.
Harvey was a manager, teacher and good friend and I will miss him...my condolences go out to Joani and the rest of the family. May he rest in peace.

Herman and I are heartbroken to hear about Harvey. We first met Harvey over 40 years ago when we all worked together at ITT Courier in Arizona. Harvey was always smart, kind, helpful, and often talked about his son Jason to us. We enjoyed our times together at work as well as socializing together after work. We remember when he met Joani and attended their wedding in Washington DC. Sadly, we never got to Colorado to visit, but we did touch base every now and then via text and Facebook. May Harvey´s memory be a blessing. Sending our love and sympathy to Joani, Jason, and the entire Golomb family. RIP my friend.

I am very sad to learn of Harvey's passing last week. Harvey was a longtime friend, and my condolences go out to Joani, his sisters, son, stepsons and grandchildren.
I first met Harvey in the 90's as members of The Sergeant's Program in Potomac, Maryland. From there grew not only our friendship, but also grew into "Team Sarge" where we did our first triathlons together starting in 1998 and going on to do our first Ironman at Lake Placid in 2002.
Harvey was our workout leader and even after moving to Colorado, Harvey continued competing. And then in his spare time, tennis and skiing were his passions, but all second to Joani.
Harvey will be missed, but great memories remain in pictures and the stories that go with them, and in our hearts...

It was great growing up across the street from Harvey and his family in DC. Played a lot of pickup baseball games with Harvey. One of the smartest kids and natural athletes in the neighborhoods.
