She was my mother, my sister, my cousin, my friend and we could talk about everything. Our times together were special to me whether it was at church, the beach, the mall or even the food court at potomac mills. Aunt Helen, I will miss you but I still expect to get my call once a year to let you know if I want (chicken or fish). I LOVE YOU

Shirley, Teresa and Henry, you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Your Mother's elegance and sweet personality touched a lot of people and she will be remembered with love. Although we are cousins (through the McCall side, Aunt Creola McCall Freeman was my Dad's aunt), the family history and bonding was strong with her and I appreciate how she took me under her wings during my stay in D.C. May God bless and keep you all strong. Love, Barbara Alford Jones

Ty, Shirley, and Teresa think of stepping on shore and finding it Heaven, of taking hold of a hand and finding it God's, of breathing new air, and finding it celestial air, of feeling invigorated, and finding it immortality, of passing from storm and tempest to an unbroken calm, of Aunt Helen waking up, and finding it Home. My family's deepest thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sometimes a family needs to know that people outside of the family really care about how they are feeling when they lose someone in death. I just want to express my condolences to you for your loss. At the same time, our loving heavenly Father is the "God of all comfort" and he can and will help you through this difficult period because "he cares for you" also.
