HELGA M. WAPPAUS
Peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2016 of Ashton, MD. Beloved wife of Walter Wappaus; mother of Kris (Jenn) Wappaus and Karl (Lauren) Wappaus; loving Oma of Sophia and Sasha Wappaus; sister of Horst Paepke. Preceded in death by her parents Kurt and Ilse Paepke, brother Wolfgang Paepke. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Leisure World Inter-Faith Chapel: 3680 S. Leisure World Blvd, Silver Spring, MD 20906. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, tribute donations may be sent to Brookside Gardens, 1800 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton, Maryland 20902, Attn: Ellen Bennett. Please make checks payable to the Montgomery Parks Foundation and note that the donation is directed to Brookside Gardens in honor of Helga Wappaus.
