On Thursday, January 4, 2007 of Chevy Chase, MD, beloved wife of the late Irving Shantz and the late Arnold J. Levine. Loving mother of Mark "Doc" Shantz (Julia Pitkin-Shantz), Bonnie Miller (Michael), Merilie Van Goor (Scott) and Bari Chamberlin (Bill); devoted sister of Adrian (Ruth) Fink and Richard (Lillian) Fink. Also survived by nine grandchildren; six step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2007, 2 p.m. at Temple Emanuel, 10101 Connecticut Ave., Kensington, MD. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Montgomery County Association For Hearing Impaired Children, PO Box 6610, Silver Spring, MD 20916.
