On February 22, 2003, HENRY DONALD GOBEL, CMDR, USN, (Ret.); beloved husband of the late Mary L. Gobel (nee Weiss); devoted father of Donald Gobel, Jr., John Gobel, Kimberley Culver, Barbara Rich, Daniel Gobel, Angela Thomas, Karen Radzykewycz and William Leonhardt; dear brother of Roger Gobel, Buddy Gobel, Jo Carol Counts and Shirley McMichael. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call the WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, INC., 1630 Edmonston Ave., (1 mile west of Beltway Exit 14) on Saturday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services and interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at 1 p.m. Family requests donations to VFW Post 9960, Swansboro, NC.
