HENRY HUHN Obituary
HENRY CHESTER HUHN, JR. (Age 88)
Born on December 29, 1926 in Washington, DC passed peacefully on May 23, 2015. Survived by his daughters Linda Hayes, Sharon Dennis and sons Michael Huhn and Mark Huhn; sister Catherine Welch; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is preceded by his wife Mary Jane Huhn. Henry graduated from Western High School in 1945, served in the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific arena. Diversified business man, owning and operating several service stations from 1947 to 1985, real estate investor, and founder of Washington and Lee Savings and Loan. Involved in many community clubs and civic organizations including Masonic Lodge #22, Scottish Rite, Kena Temple, Royal Order of Jesters Court #162, American Legion Post 24, the Alexandria Boys and Girls Club, and Alexandria Sportsman's Club. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, May 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA where his memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Shriners Hospital or National Parkinson Foundation. My first job was at Huhn's Esso in about 1973. Wow. I am shocked Hank is gone! I saw him recently and we pledged to get together and tell stories and remember my dad, Henry Thomas. My loss that never happened. My thoughts are with you Sharon, Mike, and Mark. Your friend, Griff Thomas

Hank is so missed by many. He was a great story-teller with so many great jokes. What a lovely neighbor and good friend. Goodbye my sweet man. Our sincere condolences to his family.
