I was a grad student of Hank Raymond in the 80s-90s. My interest had been sparked by the Alfred Adler Institute of human Relations, at Bowie State. I went on to complete 38 years at PG Hospital, as a counselor in the Emergency Psychiatric Service, and 24 years at Mont and PG county schools as a counselor. He was an inspirational teacher, and truly embodied the Adlerian concept of Gemeinschaftsgefühl

Dr. Raymond I will truly miss you. You were like a father, a friend, and a wise teacher and you were my former boss. My daughter, Shameira looked up to you. Rest in Peace

Dr. Raymond was one of the finest and most respected professors I ever worked with. He was insightful and impacted without pushing. He knew how to accomplish his goals respectfully and with wisdom. After a while I learned of his military service and his contributions during the Vietnam war. He was a true leader and teacher. Dr. Raymond will be missed, He was a great person and added a lot to those near him.
