I had the honor and pleasure of getting to know Mr. Rosenbloom, through a mutual friend, the late John Youtcheff. They both lived for many years at River House in Arlington, VA; in fact, Mr. Rosenbloom was a "charter tenant" from the 1960s. Mr. Rosenbloom was a most cultured, highly educated gentleman, but what stood out above all else was his kindness. When Mr. Youtcheff began to have physical problems that made it difficult for him to get around, Mr. Rosenbloom was there to assist in any and every way possible. Mr. Youtcheff passed away in 2007 and Mr. Rosenbloom moved on to assisted living. I will treasure my memories of these two "gentlemen" (in every sense of that word), and keep them in my thoughts and prayers. My sincere condolences to Mr. Rosenbloom's family and friends.
