HERBERT BECKER Vice President J.J. Haines
Herbert R Becker, 87 of Frederick, MD passed away peacefully on April 18, 2014 at Somerford Place in Frederick, MD. He was born on June 11, 1926 to Henry and Gertrude Becker of Baltimore, MD. He is preceded in death by his wife Lena of 62 years, his sister Margaret Licthfuss and his parents. Herb worked for J.J. Haines for 39 years.He is survived by his daughter, Donna Baker (Becker) and husband Brad of Frederick, MD and son Eric Becker and wife Diana of Milford, DE and three grandchildren, Nicholas Baker, Savannah Becker and Evan Becker. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service Monday, May 5, 2014 (note date change) at 11 a.m. at the Oak Crest Village Chapel, 8820 Walther Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21234. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Herb's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 108 Byte Dr., Suite 103, Frederick, MD 21702 or the Defenders of Animal Rights, 14412 Old York Rd., Phoenix, MD 21131.

Donna and Eric...I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your Dad and made sure I stopped by to see him and your Mom every time Samantha and I went to Baltimore. He was such a good brother to Mom. I am filled with gratitude for his dedication to her. Knowing that our parents are together in eternity helps fill the emptiness their loss leaves behind. I am so fortunate to have many pieces of his artwork in my home as a remembrance. My prayers are with you both.
