HESTER HARRELL MONK ADAMS (Age 79)
Hester Harrell Monk Adams succumbed to Alzheimer's on March 15, 2022, at age 79. Following a distinguished career as a teacher, she remained active in community service for as long as her health allowed. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her husband, Clement Vincent Adams. They are survived by their four sons: Clement II, (Miriam), Creighton (Lynette), Corliss, and Daniel, five grandchildren: Parker, Precious, Portia, Alexandrea and Adrienne, and one great-grandson: Christian. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by four siblings, and leaves behind seven siblings and scores of cherished loved ones. Viewing 10 a.m.; Service 11 a.m. Friday, April 1 at Trinity Episcopal Church on Piney Branch Rd NW.

Sincere condolences to the family of Hester Adams.
I knew Hester as a Soror in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She was kind, pleasant and soft spoken. I remember her participating in various events in the chapter.
I was saddened to hear that she transitioned.
I pray that the many precious memories you have of Hester will sustain you during this time of mourning.

Hester, Remembering all your kindness, your hospitality and all our wonderful memories shared. I recall how recently when Vincent would say, "Hester, I'm talking to my sister, Lena. You remember Lena?" You would answer in your usual beautiful, happy voice, "Tell her I love her." I love you too. All your other Adams sisters Pam, Jasmine and Ermine love you too. Thank you for the wonderful years of love and tenderness you shared with our brother Vincent. Enjoy your time together now in the fullness of Eternal life. Our treasured memories are of an elegant, kind vibrant and scholarly lady.

Dear Family of Hester:
Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother. In the years of knowing your mother, she was the sweetest person, so thoughtful and always smiling. I can still see her and your Dad in the years we went to Trinity and all the times our families had gatherings. She will be truly missed.
I pray that the Lord will continue to give you peace and strength at this most difficult time.

Dear Clement ,Creighton, Corliss ,Daniel and family Please except our deepest sympathy. Hester was a loving person who loved gardening and she was very good at it. She was a breath of fresh air and a ray of sunshine every time you saw her. Hester was one of the most glorious and spirited person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I think God he allowed our path to cross as neighbors and friends.
