I was so sorry to learn of Ivan's death. I worked with him at OEO/CSA in Boston. he was a bright, creative public servant. He also made the work fun.

I met Ivan in 1973 when he was with the Community Services Administration and I was a CAP Director in Lynn, Massachusetts. Later, I was a member of his staff in Boston. He was a firm, intelligent focussed man, universally respected for those qualities...and a pretty good tennis player at that time. After he moved to USAID I lost track but I'm sure he continued to add value to any organization and to his friends and family. Condolences to all. I hope to attend his memorial service if notified at

Ashley Family,
It is difficult to understand why good people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing he was a special part of a well-lived life. My good friend and supervisor.
