I met Ivan in 1973 when he was with the Community Services Administration and I was a CAP Director in Lynn, Massachusetts. Later, I was a member of his staff in Boston. He was a firm, intelligent focussed man, universally respected for those qualities...and a pretty good tennis player at that time.
