Dad, God I miss you so much!. I know I was a hard headed kid. I got that from you I suppose. I was also a strong kid. I also got that from you. But no amount of strength can ease this pain and emptiness in life with you gone. I love you dad and I am so proud to say you were my father.

My Jack,
Spending time with you was a special time for me. Listening to all your trooper stories when I was a kid is something I will never forget! I will always remember how kind and funny you were. Even when you had a joke to tell you still kept the stern trooper face until the end of the joke and then you would laugh hysterically! I'm so glad that during your last weeks you told me that you were tickled by the scarf that I had given you. You had been searching for a scarf like that for so long and I'm glad I was able to give you a small piece of happiness towards the end. I'll always love and miss my Jack!

I met Jack in 1981 when I was a Mt. Rainier City Police Officer. Jack was the guy who set the standard for the love of the job. Jack was a Sgt. at the time I came aboard, but even though I was the new guy, he always treated like a son. Never a condescending or critical word spoken, only positive reinforcement that resonated with me through my entire career in law enforcement. A true COPS, COP that will be missed.

I met Jack in 1972 and we have remained friends and brothers over the years. I will miss my brother but I know that he is in a much better place and not in pain. God bless you Jack, love you guy...
