Jacqueline Kelley Brittain fell asleep in the Lord on February 26,2021 at age 96. She is survived by her daughter, Marquita Morris, son, Charles Brittain, grandson, Jim Morris (Olivia) and great-grandchildren, Millie and Wally. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mildred Kelley, her husband, Charles Brittain.Jackie was born on February 11, 1925 in Lockwood, MO. She contracted polio as an infant and struggled with challenges due to the disease. Not expected to walk, Jackie overcame odds through many surgeries and stays in the Shriner Hospital, she was able to walk throughout her life. She graduated from Lockwood High School. She moved to Washington, DC when she was 18 where she got married and took a position at the Department of the Navy. She resided in Falls Church VA until her death. She worked at John Marshall High School and retired from Montgomery Wards, in HR. She was instrumental in ensuring equal education for the disabled in Fairfax County Public Schools over 60 years ago. Jackie loved Jesus with all her heart. She held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with all. John 3:16Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be held in Falls Church, VA for friends and family over the summer, burial in Lockwood, MO. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Alive Global or Shriners Hospital.
