JAMES E. DeVOL
On Monday August 25, 2014, James E. DeVol of Washington, DC. Beloved husband of Natalie A. DeVol; loving father of Anthony R. DeVol (Julie), Robert G. DeVol (Hillary), Karen D. Guidon (John), Kevin G. DeVol (Ann) and Steven G. DeVol; brother of John F. DeVol and Betty Griffith and the late Robert and Raymond DeVol. Also survived by 12 grandchildren Jack, Riley, Lauren, Jimmy, Sarah, Michael, John Patrick, Natalie, Madeline. Dennis, Brendan and Seamus and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 4001 Yuma St. N.W., Washington, DC 20016 on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 noon on Friday, August 29, 2014. (Valet Parking for the visitation and street parking for the funeral). Interment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to: Jubilee Association, 10408 Montgomery Avenue, Kensington, MD 20895 or The Ride To Conquer Cancer "Jims Riders" www.ridetovictory.org. To the entire DeVol Family, Especially
Natalie, Bob,and Kevin, we are so saddened by the news of Jim's passing. He put on a courageous fight over the past year or so and we know you all went through it with him every step of the way.
In my heart and mind, Jim and John have a special place as twins, but also because they, along with the rest of this wonderful family, welcomed us into this new area when we first moved from Maine to Maryland. Jim and family gave us a ton of priceless memories to cherish forever, and we will never forget some of the incredible times we had or the Bud and the Budweiser episodes. Jim please give my twin a hug and have the time of your eternity with him and all the others that have gone before you. We Love YOU AND THE ENTIRE DEVOL family, may GOD open HIS arms for you and please guide us all especially your family and friends until we meet again........
