Doreen Mary DeVol, age 74, of Conway, Missouri, passed away on October 17, 2025, at Cox Medical Center South. She was born on September 3, 1951, in Artesia, California, to Ernest and Rose Wirtjes.
On September 3, 1979, Doreen married the love of her life, James DeVol. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Doreen had a heart full of kindness and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She adored her dogs and always made them part of the family. She also loved cooking for the Conway Jr and High Schools, where she shared her warmth, care, and delicious meals with the students and staff.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James DeVol; her father, Ernest Wirtjes; and her mother, Rose Wirtjes.
Doreen is lovingly remembered by her son, Scott DeVol, and daughter-in-law, Nicole DeVol; her grandsons, Caleb and Haydin DeVol; her daughter, Nicole DeVol; her son, Cody DeVol, and daughter-in-law, Laura DeVol; and her sister, Ginger Confer.
Doreen's legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Doreen will be missed. I remember the good times we had playing cards and eating the fabulous Mexican food she made. Nicole brought Dariey Queen ice cream blizzards to her dad, Jim, after a hard day of work and Doreen would laugh and roll her eyes. Good times with good people. Sincerely, Kendall and Janet Moore
