Peggy Lou Burden, Age 96, of Pleasant Hope passed away on March 3, 2026. Peggy was born to William Boudinot and Hattie (Bunch) on December 22, 1929 in Newberg, Missouri. Peggy was united in marriage to Clarence "Cy" Young Burden on November 24, 1977.

Peggy was employed as a home health care worker. When not working her interests and pastimes included reading books, sewing, and spending time with her family. Nothing however, brought her more fulfillment than her faith. Peggy was saved on September 20, 1942 along with being baptised on September 27, 1942 and has since spread her love for the Lord with those important to her. Peggy will be remembered as a strong woman, loving mother, and devoted Christian.

Peggy was preceded in death by her Parents William Boudinot and Hattie (Bunch), brother Jim Boudinot, husband Clarence "Cy" Burden, daughters Jackie McNerney, Jimmie Sue Thomas, son Mark Hardesty and son-in-law Harold McNerney. She survived by her son Chris Hardesty (Debbie), grandchildren Terri Barnes (Jim), Jerri Puryear (Earl), Reagan Hardesty, Jason Hardesty (Sydney), TJ Hardesty (Karlisa), John Hardesty (Trista), Dakota Hardesty, and Madison Hardesty. Along with a host of Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

A visitation for Peggy will be held on Monday March, 9th 2026 at 10:00am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield with a grave side service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Peggy's memory to Crossway Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo.

Her services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North
