To all of his family , my deepest sympathy. I know this is a painful loss. I have never known a person so well loved by all. His qualities were many and made people become better people. I hope seeing some of these qualities in each other brings us peace. PaPop, “ shine on you crazy diamond, have a cigar and wish you were here. “ will never be heard by me without you being felt deep in my heart. I hear you gruffly chastising me. I like it a lot. I love you. I thank you so much for your mentoring and friendship. I look forward to a new and different relationship with you now. That is right PaPop, to use one of your analogies, you are not off the hook. Dennis Hasty

I have a lot of good memories of Jim, more than I can share here. He took my son on his first fishing trip down under the Woodrow Wilson Bridge one summer day. Jeff actually caught a nice sized fish. He didn't like me to say the word "work" when I left home each morning and he'd be on his front porch early in the morning in good weather. So I'd start saying "I'm going to my place of employment" and we'd both chuckle. And then do it all over the next day. But every now and then I'd pretend that I'd forgotten and say "I'm going to work". And he's remind me to not use that 4 letter word around him. Can't tell you much I already miss him. The neighborhood won't be the same. To Patty and the rest of the family, may you find your peace and acceptance in your own ways.

My heart goes out to you at this time. I am truly sorry for your loss. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Reading Psalms 121 is a very comforting scriptural passage. There you will find assurance of God's support. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

May the God of all comfort be with the family in your time of sorrow. Our Heavenly Father assures us that He will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more. I offer my sincere condolences to you all.

Jim was a good man that made those around them feel at home. He was always the first to offer a hand and always the one to crack a joke to make one laugh. I loved the times I had talking with him about politics, learning about soccer, and hearing the stories of his life. He loved his family and friends and I sorely miss him. Our family offers our heartfelt condolences and prayers to you.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
