JAMES GINTY Obituary

James Thomas Ginty
It is with great sadness that the family of James Thomas Ginty (Jim) announce his passing on July 14, 2018 after a battle with cancer. Jim's charismatic spirit made everyone feel comfortable. His infectious laugh made people stop in their tracks. His quick wit and great sense of humor were second to none. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, son and friend.Jim ran a ceramic tile and home improvement business for the past 20 years. His craft was very important to him and he made special bonds with many of his customers. In his spare time he enjoyed golf, cooking and entertaining his lifelong friends and family. He was a lover of sports, and was especially proud to see the Washington Capitals win the Stanley Cup this past June. Music was very important to him and he did not miss an opportunity to see Bruce Springsteen in concert no matter where it was.Jim was born in Belleville, Illinois and was 51 years old. He is survived by his wife, Stacey Dickinson Ginty, their twin daughters, Kathleen Lynette and Megan Elizabeth, his mother, Mary Sullivan Ginty, sister, Patricia Whalen (Kevin), and brothers, Michael (Donna) and Kevin (Andrea) Ginty, and nine nieces and nephews who loved their "crazy" Uncle Jimmy very much. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Joseph Ginty, Jr.A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Gainesville, VA.
