Seven years seem so short but longer because I miss you Jim and all of our banter over the years. Our families were close in heart if not in distance. You always made family reunions so memorable and inviting. I enjoyed touring your family around the Pentagon and appreciated your hospitality whenever my work brought me your way. Pray for all the clan and we will all be together again some day.

Our sadness over Jim's passing is beyond words. As neighbors for 9+ years, we shared much laughter, birthday cake, and stories of life. We will miss this beautiful man, and our prayers are with all of his family and friends.
God bless always,

Wonderful mentor at Fairfax Public Access TV, an instructor who exemplified servant-hearted leadership; a developer of people as well as technology. You are still with us, even as you explore new territories now.

I see it now...Jim Girardi is at the pearly gates of heaven and a Gate Keeper is there to meet him...His name is Dan, he said to Jim...Before you can enter YOU MUST Answer...3 questions...1st question: What is your name? No problem said Jim...James Anthony Girardi Jr. Right! said the Gate Keeper.
2nd question: Besides the color Gold, what are the other favorite colors here? No problem said Jim; Green, White and Red. Right! said the Gate Keeper
3rd question, How many angels are here in Heaven? Jim took a deep breath and for the first time in his life was speechless. No problem said Dan; the Gate Keeper, Come on in...They are all waiting for you!!! Dan put his arm on Jim's shoulder and led him in to the most phenomenal Girardi Family Reunion Ever!
We love you Jim, you will be truly missed.

May the angels lead him into Paradise.
May the martyrs come and welcome him on his way
And lead him into the holy city, Jerusalem.
May the choirs of angels welcome him
And with Lazarus who once was poor
May he have everlasting life. Amen.
As we Brothers have prayed since our founding, "Live Jesus in our hearts--Forever!"

I have lost not just a cousin but a dear and beloved friend. Did not see him often but when I did it was like no time has passed. I know the loss of a father, a son and a brother so I know your hurt. I also know that God will walk with you during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

We are still reeling over the news of Jim's sudden death. So many fond memories of you at neighbors-- Jim as the "talking pumpkin", his care and loving of his lawn, etc-- but most of all memories of the children - watching them grow into beautiful adults. I am sure he is getting the sound just right in heaven.
