GRIERSON, JAMES HOOPER, JR. (Age 72)

JAMES HOOPER GRIERSON, JR., age 72, of Manassas, VA, died Sunday, December 14, 2003 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas, VA. Mr. Grierson enjoyed gardening and retired from IBM in 1991 after 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by one son, James H. Grierson, III in 1978. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Grierson; one daughter, Susan Snyder and husband, Russ, of Ijamsville, MD; one son, Bill Grierson of Manassas; one sister, Barbara Tilley of Pleasant Valley, NY and one granddaughter, Emily Snyder of Ijamsville. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2003 at PRICE FUNERAL HOME, 9609 Center St., Manassas, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2003, with Rev. Dr. Billy G. Tatum officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of flowers or contributions to Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire Department, Station #11, 7814 Garner Dr., Manassas, VA 20109 in memory of James H. Grierson, Jr.
