Dear Ketchums,
Jim was an over the top character full of fun and joy.
He will live on in the great stories full of mischief and laughter in tales that will be told about him for years to come.
We will miss him so.

We send our deepest sympathy to John, Sarah, and Tim on the death of their amazing father, Jim. We were fortunate to participate in many activities together and share many happy moments on Capitol Hill. We were always cheered by his wicked sense of humor and inspired by his dedication to his family and community.
Fondly, Alice and Harvey Galper

What a wonderful person,! He had a tremendous ability to remember so much information and a willingness to share that vast fund of knowledge. Even when I was having concerns about dealing with retail folks about trying to buy some oriental rugs and was willing to pay the going rate, and still I was frustrated in those interactions in Washington, D, C., Jim said he knew a responsible, reliable firm in Buffalo, York. So on a trip from Washington to Grand Rapids, Michigan, we traveled to Buffalo, New York, and, yes, Jim was correct that these folks would be helpful, and they were, and we still own those several oriental rugs bought from this merchant that Jim Ketchum recommended.
Jim and his lovely wife Barbara were outstanding members of the Capitol Hill community, always willing to help whenever help was needed. We all shall miss them.
