James McKittrick Obituary
Dr. James Donald McKittrick
Dr. McKittrick passed away on December 17, 2022 in Las Cruces, NM. He was born in Chicago, Il on May 10, 1929 to Helen (Maly) and James Joseph McKittrick. They moved to Washington, DC. area in the late 1930's, residing in D.C., Rockville, MD and settling in Arlington, VA.
He attended Gonzaga College High School, class of 1948, and attended Georgetown University, graduating from the School of Dentistry in 1955. After graduation he practiced dentistry for 40 years. Originally practicing with Dr. Charles O'Hara in Falls Church, VA and for the last two years with Dr. Henry Herrmann, also in Falls Church, retiring in 1995.
In 2007 he moved to Las Cruces, NM to enjoy the warm, dry weather of the high desert country of southern New Mexico.
He was a member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, Virginia State Dental Association, and was a lifetime member of the American Dental Association.
He is survived of his sister Katherine Oddenino and nieces Susan DAdamo, Sandra Roberts, and Linda Roberts. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Daniel Oddenino.
At his request cremation has been performed and burial will be at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax County, VA. Also at his request no public memorial service will be held.
