I bought several prints from Jane in the 1970s and 80s. They remain among my collection - still loved. Jane was ever gracious and kind, instructing her clients, so patient with those of us new to the art scene. After several years absence, when I returned to her gallery, she recalled me and welcomed me 'home.' Special woman.

Under Jane's guidance in her 7th St and Dupont Circle galleries, I purchased my first works of art. She was always friendly and ever helpful and it was always nice to talk to her family. The best gallery owner I've ever worked with. We'll miss you.

The Washington Print Club is saddened to learn of Jane's passing. Although this condolence is late, it in no way diminishes her integral service on behalf of the Washington, D.C. arts community. Not only through her gallery and web site, but also through the generosity of her time in the service of the Washington Print Club. She was both a member and a long term participant on the advisory board. Her humor, determined spirit, and ready helpfulness will be sorely missed.

Jane will be missed very much by her colleagues. She was so loyal to our profession. She was a great friend and always very charitable with her time and advice. My condolences to the family. Bob Brown

I am so terribly sorry to hear that the art community has lost a bright star. Jane was personally very supportive of my art and a giant in the printmaking community. She was a pioneer in marketing art online and a huge supporter of local artists. She ran a successful art gallery and had impeccable taste in art. We will miss her so much.

Many of us in the art community have great respect for Jane. History should credit her being the first gallerist to post art for sale on the internet, at a time when few people had computers. I'm glad that she is mentioned twice in our history Washington Art Matters. Bless you all.
