JANET SCHOULER DWYER  
Passed away from ALS November 23, 2016 in Washington, DC. Born December 22, 1947 in New Haven, CT to Dr. Gregory K. Dwyer and Betty Lou Schouler Dwyer, Jan attended Connecticut College and graduated from New York University, majoring in Art History and French. She was an international flight attendant for TWA.Jan lived in New York City for 30 years and moved to Washington, DC in 1990. Her passion for the creative arts, and fashion, which lead to jobs as fashion advertising manager and marketing director at Guy La Roche, Vanity Fair magazine, Revillion Furs, and advertising director at Epstein, Rayboy Advertising. A job with Stage Bill relocated Jan to DC Her final job was at Library Resources, where she worked as an Architectural resource librarian, to fulfill her passion for design and architecture.Her other passions were writing, reading, biking, the theatre and the opera. Her compassion for others, lead to many church committees and devotion to helping the homeless and down trodden.Jan is survived by her two sisters, Katherine T. Dwyer and Ellen Dwyer Hale and brother-in- law, Thomas L. Hale; nephews, Todd Dwyer Jackson and Graham Schouler Jackson; niece, Mallory Hale Moersch and spouses, Kathy Elizabeth Frye, Katelyn Burgess Jackson, and Joel Christopher Moersch; grandnieces, Jemma Rose Frye-Jackson, Dwyer Elise Jackson and Ruby Elizabeth Frye-Jackson.A memorial service will be held at Christ Church in Georgetown, Washington, DC on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11 a.m.
