JANICE MENTZ Obituary
JANICE B. MENTZ
Janice B. Mentz, RN, died peacefully surrounded by her family on December 19, 2012 at her home in Bluffton, South Carolina after a long illness. She was born on April 30, 1943 in Newport News, Virginia. She attended Mary Washington College and was a graduate of the school of nursing at the University of Virginia. Janice was employed many years by the Visiting Nurses Association and at her retirement she was a wound care specialist in a hospital and a medical practice in Woodbridge, Virginia. She moved to Bluffton, South Carolina in April, 2010. She is survived by her sons, John W. (Suzanne) Mentz II, and Jason B. Mentz and her husband, John C. Tolford and his children. She is also survived by her brothers, Dr. William Bowman of San Diego, California and Robert Bowman of Williamsburg, Virginia and their children. Her marriage to Col. John W. Mentz ended in divorce. Arrangements for services and internment are pending.
