JARAD GELDNER  
Jarad Geldner, 37, of Washington, DC. died May 27, 2021 after a long and brave battle with cancer. Geldner was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle, colleague and friend.Geldner was a native of Philadelphia, PA and a 2001 graduate of Council Rock High School. He was an active part of the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO). He attended American University (AU) in Washington, DC where he earned a B.A. in International Relations. While at AU, he was a member and ultimately chapter President of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity of which he remined an active alumnus until his death.Geldner met his future wife and love of his life Hillary at AU while playing his guitar on the university quad her first day of college. They later married and were elated to welcome Jasper to their family soon after. Geldner's commitment to his family was unbreakable. Even as he endured 76 lonely days in the hospital for treatment during the pandemic in 2020, he made it a special point to Zoom with Jasper every day he was able.Geldner worked with many clients as a public affairs strategist and executive at several organizations including Glover Park Group, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, and most recently at S-3 Group. He began his career as a political analyst for The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and remained a dedicated and active advocate for Israel throughout his life. Jarad was also active in Democratic politics where he worked to establish several organizations to boost local and national Democratic candidates.Geldner is survived by his wife, Hillary Geldner (nee Rothberg), their son, Jasper Geldner, Linda Geldner (John Howland), David Geldner, and Jessie (Dan) Fields. Jarad is also survived by his nephew and niece, Asher and Avery Fields, grandmother, Jean Schwartz, and countless cousins, friends, family, fraternity brothers, colleagues and so many more. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Helene Gelder (nee Davis).Funeral was held on May 28, 2021 at Adas Israel Congregation, Washington, DC. Donations in Mr. Geldner's memory may be made to the Jarad Geldner Memorial Fund, 1801 Alcan Drive, Silver Spring, MD, 20902, or to support the cancer research work of Drs. Valerie Lee and Jonathan Greer at The Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine, 550 North Broadway, Suite 722, Baltimore, MD 21205.
