Jean Lyster Obituary


JEAN LYSTER (Age 88)  
Of Springfield, VA passed away on June 20, 2011. She was a member of Springfield United Methodist Church. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ted Lyster. She is survived by sons, John Lyster and wife, Adrienna of Warrington, VA and Carl Lyster and wife, Mary of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, April Patrick, Harrison and Tabitha King, Jennifer and Carl Dillon Lyster; three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Jean was a talented musician and a long time volunteer at Leewood Health Care Center, where she played the organ and led song groups for the residents. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of Springfield United Methodist Church, June 28 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Lung Association.
