Jeanette Hornstein Obituary


JEANETTE LEON HORNSTEIN  
Died peacefully on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the age of 97. She was the loving wife of the late David Hornstein and the devoted mother of Betty Lou Poloway, JoAnn (Gerald) Chasen, the late Joseph Hornstein and her dear niece, Shirley Luber. She was always surrounded by her adoring grandchildren, Jay (Monica) Berenter, Richard (Annie) Berenter, Susan (Joel) Danick, Lisa (Marc) Cummins, Arlene (Bernard) Smadja and Jodi (Larry) Jaffe and her great-niece, Marilyn Luber. Her legacy includes her wonderful great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Samantha Berenter, Brett and Gillian Danick, Lindsey, Danielle and David Cummins, Alex and Julia Smadja and Brian and Sara Jaffe. Services will be held on Friday, November 4 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Judean Memorial Gardens, Olney, MD. Shiva will be held at the home of JoAnn and Jerry Chasen on Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
