JEREMIAH O'DONOVAN Obituary
JEREMIAH J. O'DONOVAN (Age 66)
Of Glenelg, MD, passed away Friday May 23, 2014 after a battle with lung cancer."Jerry" O'Donovan was born in Washington D.C. to the late Lenore and Jeremiah P. O'Donovan on April 29, 1948. He graduated from Gonzaga College High School in 1966 and received a History degree from Xavier University in 1970. He was married to Kathleen O'Donovan in 1991. Jerry was the founder of the multi-line insurance agency O'Donovan & Associates, Inc. that has been specializing in Commercial Insurance and Surety Bonding since 1982. In 1995 he developed the TimberSure??® program which is now one of the largest insurers of logging contractors in the Southeast. Jeremiah also served on the Advisory Panel for the Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. chapter of the Insurance Agents & Brokers trade association.He enjoyed golfing with his wife and watching Redskins games with his children.He is survived by his wife Kathleen, his three children Jeremiah P. O'Donovan, Conor O'Donovan, and Colleen O'Donovan, and his two grandchildren Reagan and Jeremiah J. O'Donovan. He is also survived by his brother Kevin O'Donovan and his three sisters Deirdre DiPirro, Margaret Torres, and Eileen Battista.Memorial Services are being planned and will be announced at a later date. Hard to believe it has been 7 years since Jerry passed. I still cherish great memories starting in High School through College and thereafter. A dear friend for a very long time. I said prayers for him in a Church in Westport, Ireland as I was there the day of the Memorial Service. May he rest in Peace. I hope Cathy and Family are doing well. Tony Interdonato
