On Thursday, August 9, 2018, DR. JEROME "JERRY" SHAPIRO of Washington, DC. Beloved husband of Barbara Caral Shapiro; loving father of David Ellis (Kathleen Hart) Shapiro and Peter Alfred (Julia Elizabeth Wright) Shapiro; dear brother of Elaine Cohen; cherished grandfather of Alexandra and Nicholas Shapiro, Nolan (Liz) Springer, Sydney Wright-Schaner and Cole Wright-Schaner and great grandfather of Dean and Addison Springer. Memorial service will be on Sunday, October 7, 2018, 11 a.m. at Temple Sinai, 3100 Military Rd., NW, Washington, DC. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to Common Cause or to District Alliance for Safe Housing. Arrangements entrusted to TORCHINSKY HEBREW FUNERAL HOME, 202-541-1001
