JERRY E. DARRING, SR.
Peacefully on Thursday, June 29,2017. Resident of Forestville, MD. Loving husband of Brenda Darring; devoted father of Dionne Durham (Donald), Jerry Darring, Jr. and Ebony Frost (Dwayne); son of the late, Samuel and Violet Darring; brother of Carolyn Ford, Samuel Darring and the late Joan Simmons. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 11 from 7 to 9 p.m., at J. B. Jenkins Funeral Home, 7474 Landover Road, and Wednesday, July 12 at 10 a.m until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Zion Church, 3600 Brightseat Road, Landover, MD.www.jbjfh.com

This is very nice. Trust in your heavenly father to get you thru. Idk what I would do if my dad past away so I know that's a heavy pain. But guess what he is happier and and can watch over you. I know you miss him. That won't change and it's okay.

I will miss Jerry. He helped me get through my first assignment in the US Army Reserve at Dower House Road. I pray that the family be lifted up and know that God makes no mistakes. Jerry Darring was loved by many and will be missed.

My goodness, What a shock to hear to about Jerry leaving his earthly body. Although I have not been in communication with him in years - his name sake Tidwell always kept me abreast of what was happening. Jerry and I worked together at the 5th (Dower House Road) many moons ago. He was always one to give advice on many issues. His youngest daughter attended my daughter's birthday celebration at age 3. We really worked in a family/team environment at that time and he was good people. My heart is with the family at this time. Chris Williams
