Just received an email from Billy about Bo-Peep's passing.
Quite a shock to me. First met her during my freshman year (1959) at Soldan-Blewett. Both of us lived outside the district and thus rode the Hodiamont streetcar.
It is because of her that I pledged Zeta.
So many have gone - Beverly, Yvonne, Nellie.
My mother joined the ancestors April 14th last year and am in the midst of planning a joint memorial service for both parents since Daddy passed April 14, 1965.

Jerry was a very caring and giving person and truley cared for others. May the Lord provide comfort to the family through the love of friends and family members. We trust in the Lord that we may see her once again some day.
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 1Thessalonians 1Th 4:13-14

I only knew Jerry for a brief period of time; but it was a pleasure being in her company. May God bless and comfort her family and friends.

For God's faithful people life is changed not ended. When the body of our earthly dwelling lies in death we gain an everlasting dwelling place in heaven. In the end there are three things that last....faith, hope, and love...& Jerry's life is a monument to her faith, the hope she gave all around her and the love that is her gift to all who know her.

My deepest Sympathy is sent to the family of Jerry Eileen Perry.
Thy faithful servant has made her transition, and surely her spirit has taken flight to its rightful place, to the spirit of God that is within all of us who shall remember her forever.
Although it's hard to believe that she has moved on from this life as we know it, I'm glad to have known her. My life is richer, because she has passed through it, and the World is poorer, because she will not be physically present to continue her earthly journey.
May your spirit find Peace Jerry, and may we all remember the example you have shown us.
Continued Blessings,
LaVonda Harris

On behalf of the citizens and residents of A City of Excellence, we offer our prayers and appreciation for the life of Sister Jerry Perry. Her work on earth is recorded in heaven. She fought a good fight, she kept the faith and now is the time for her reward. God bless her memory and may her works be a testiment of a good Christian for others to follow. Well, done to a good and faithful servant of the people.

Peace & Blessings,
Jerry is no longer here with us. We have seen her smile for the last time, we have heard her laugh for the last time, we have hugged her for the last time, and we have seen her work to help others for the last time.
She has run her lap in this race of life. She has loved, she has cared, she has had impact. Our challenge is that we take the baton and run our lap in life's marathon. Our challenge is that we follow the solid example that Jerry has set for us and make positive change. Our challenge is to help as many people as we can along the way. Jerry showed us how to do that. She also showed that we can meet, we can plan, and we can execute with a smile on our faces.
Jerry has lived a full and complete life although it was too short for us. But, God rewards the faithful. He bestows His favor on those who keep His Commandments. Jerry was faithful and she obeyed His will. Surely, Jerry is now with the Savior and has joined the Land of the Righteous.
We must be diligent about our words, our thoughts, our actions, and our adherence to God's will. If we follow Jerry's example, we will be rewarded by seeing her again in Heaven. There, we will laugh together, smile together, and talk together. We look forward to our reward!
We miss you Jerry! We will see you again in Heaven!
Peace & Blessings,
Arthur Turner
