Jillian Poole Obituary
Jillian H. Poole August 11, 1930 – March 5, 2023
Director of Development for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (1971-1990), CEO of the Fund for Arts and Culture in Central and Eastern Europe (1990-2012) and Vice Chair of the Chincoteague Island Arts Organization (2011-2020) lived her life as a bold manifestation of her guiding principle "To be useful. Always". Her lasting words: "No regrets. No Sadness. Cheers! Au revoir". Rest well, Jillian. The echoes of your spirit will continue to reverberate through the lives you've touched and bring light to the corners of this world for many years to come. Private celebration of life.

I am a neighbor from Jillian's years at Crescent (I live in a house next to the complex). I got to know her during the pandemic and occasionally had a drink with her in the courtyard with other neighbors and had wonderful conversations. I often saw her walking and told her each time that she was an inspiration to me. She persevered with her walks--no matter the weather--until the end. I was sad to learn of her passing. Rest in peace, Jillian.
