JOAN REGO

JOAN MARIE REGO (Age 87)  
Passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 surrounded by her family in the loving care of Hospice of the Chesapeake Mandrin House. Joan was born in Massachusetts, where she married John Rego. She was the oldest of three children born of Joseph and Marie (Walsh) Adams. She and her family later moved to Silver Spring, MD, where she worked as a nurse at Holy Cross Hospital, then later worked in geriatric care. She was a merchandiser for Hardware City in Viers Mill and MJ Designs in Aspen Hill where she loved to decorate all the displays, Christmas trees and create the floral arrangements. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, John Rego, her brother, Joseph William Adams, Jr. and grandson, Jimmy McLendon. She is survived by her six children, Patti Rego Belisle (husband David), Donna Rego Antonius (husband Bill), John Rego III (wife Joan), Mike Rego (wife Terri), Ron Rego (wife Lynn) and Vance Rego (wife Ashley); her sister, Ainsley Adams, and the light of her life, her 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be announce at a later date. Contributions may be made in Joan's name to Hospice of the Chesapeake Mandrin House, Harwood Maryland.
