Poppi Joe, My sister Cathy used to tell me of your crab eating binges. I never believed it till I saw you at AJ and Ashley's pre-wedding dinner. We all tried to keep up with you, but, alas, you are the king. You just sat back and smiled. May the angels guide you on your way to see your beloved Ida. We loved you from afar.

...I never met the gentleman, but wish him God's peace. I do remember how lovingly Cathy always spoke of him and about him. She would tell us stories, and make us laugh...I am sure he is making all the others laugh now as well. I am truly sorry for the family's loss. GOD"S blessings to all of you, celebrate his life with joy in your hearts. I keep you all in my prayers.

I will always treasure our years in Ocean City at the legion convention with Poppi, Ida , and my parents and the Decenzo family. We had such fun times. My children grew up with several sets of grandparents!! I also will always treasure Poppi's love of friends and family. Every time our families were together over these many years it was so evident how much he loved and was proud of his children and grandchildren. Rest in peace poppi, you were so loved by all<3

I. Used to live in Upper Marlboro and play bingo on Friday night at the legion. He loved to call out the attendance prize drawings. I used to also ride with him and Caroline casparis on the casino trips and enjoyed them so much. God bles. And you and your family are in my prayers.

Will miss cooking Sunday dinner for you, Joe, and all your great stories. I miss your twinkling eyes and for being the first one in line for every party! Sleep well, Popi Joe. Give Ida a big hug for me.
