One year has gone by since we lost Dad. He was an amazing father, father-in-law and grandfather to us all. We still miss him every single day but take comfort in knowing that he is with Mom.

Mr. Lineberger, our hero and beloved father of the AFRBA. I remember 2 Timothy 4:7-8 when I think of Mr. L, He fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. You all are in my prayers. Love you, Susan Ayala-Wright and family

My deepest condolences to the Lineberger family. Joe Lineberger was one of the finest gentlemen I ever worked with and for in 25+ years of Air Force service -- he was known by many and will be missed by all. He was a great mentor, a quiet, but influential leader and steadfast friend. What a privilege to have known him.

I unfortunately only had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Lineberger in person once. But the kindness and hospitality he offered as well as the inspiring stories he shared that day will always be a memory I cherish.

I worked with Joe when I was the Pararescue Career-field Manger. He helped to right a wrong and to get Dennis Richardson his Air Force Cross award. Joe was a man of integrity and a great friend of the Air Rescue Community. It was a privilege to work with him. Rest in peace Joe!

I will never forget you, Big D. I love how you loved your family and welcomed me in as an adopted grand-daughter when I married Brian. I will forever remember our talks after dinner about politics, your military experiences and your guidance about leadership and determination. I love you as my own grandpa and feel so blessed to have got to know you and be a part of your life. The impact you have made on your family and all you have done in service for our country is a beautiful lasting legacy. Your spirit, strength and courage will never be forgotten. Love you, and as you would always say as you drove away, "Keep rolling!"

I have very vague memories of My Great Uncle Joe. He and my father were very close. I am honoured to be associated with this man and his military accomplishments will forever be something that will always motivate me to be a better man.

Joe Lineberger (or as I, and the rest of his grandchildren knew him as, Big Daddy) was an indescribable force in our lives. He inspired us all through his stories, hard work, and unconditional love and support. He was surrounded by a whole troop of his family when he passed away, both hands held by his son and daughter, and went into his next world knowing we were by his side.
Watching and listening to him growing up is one main reason I am who I am today. His love and stories will never be forgotten, and will guide me through the rest of my life.
He was loved by everyone he met, was an impact on many, and will be forgotten by none. I cannot thank him enough for being a huge presence in my life. He will be missed so very much.
He taught us love, and his lessons will get us through this tough, tough time. He will continue to live on in us all.
